Large quantities of unlicensed medications have been seized by Department of Health officials during a search of a home in Glengormley.
A man was interviewed by department officers about illegally importing and subsequently providing unlicensed impotence medications via the web.
The 47-year-old was also questioned about other medicine offenses.
He will now be the subject of a report to the Service.
The search was carried out by the department’s Medicines Regulatory Group.
Its senior enforcement office, Peter Moore, stated: « It is important that we get the message across that unlicensed medications can be dangerous.
« These kinds of products being offered, usually online, have actually undergone no quality control and there can be no guarantee about their safety.
« You just do not understand what you are taking or the conditions these items were made in. More importantly, you do not know the impact drugs like this may have on your health. »
